Gulf Coast Guitars focuses on interesting guitars and basses — vintage instruments, discontinued models, modern boutique designs, unusual specifications, and thoughtfully modified players. We select instruments because there is something distinctive about their sound, feel, design, history, or electronics, not simply because of the name on the headstock.

Some instruments are most interesting exactly as they left the factory. Others become better players with carefully chosen pickups, electronics, hardware, or controls. Our interests span both: well-preserved original instruments and thoughtfully modified gear where the changes serve a clear musical purpose. Inventory changes regularly, and interesting instruments tend to come and go.
